Counseling for the curious, the brave, and the becoming.

LGBTQ+ Individuals, Couples + Constellations, Gender and Sex Therapy

You want to feel more connected—to your partner, your body, your sense of self—but something feels out of sync.

Maybe you’re navigating a major life transition, questioning patterns that no longer serve you, or just wanting life to feel more meaningful again. Therapy is a place to explore what’s working, what’s not, and what’s ready to grow—so you can build relationships and a life that feel genuine, grounded, and fully your own.

Book A Consult Call

Hi, I’m Cat.

My pronouns are she/her and they/them.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience providing therapy—and more than 15 years working in the field of mental health. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful therapy can be; it’s not just about healing pain, but about helping people reconnect with their own aliveness, purpose, and capacity for love.

I believe in the healing potential of relationships—both the ones we build with others and the one we nurture with ourselves. Relationships are, in many ways, the best parts of being human. They’re also some of the hardest. That’s where therapy comes in.

As a sex-positive, trauma-informed therapist, I help people untangle the stories, fears, and patterns that keep them from the intimacy and self-acceptance they long for. Therapy with me isn’t about diagnosing or “fixing” you—it’s about helping you get curious, compassionate, and brave in the parts of your life that matter most. Together, we’ll make space for your whole self: the tender parts, the curious parts, the parts still discovering what they want.

I love working with LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families. As a queer therapist, it’s a privilege to support my community and hold space for all of our unique identities, stories, and desires. I also love working with young adults—teens preparing for college, college students navigating independence, and recent grads finding their footing in the transitions of early adulthood. And I have a special place in my practice for older adults, especially those exploring intimacy, identity, and evolving relationships later in life. Whatever stage you’re in, I bring experience and care to meet you there.

If you’re ready to lean into the hard stuff—to explore, grow, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and alive—you’re in the right place.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a space to slow down and really get to know yourself—what you feel, need, and want. Our work can help you untangle what’s been keeping you stuck and move toward more self-acceptance, pleasure, and clarity in your life.

Sex Therapy

Sex therapy is a space to explore your desires, patterns, and barriers around intimacy without shame or judgment. Some examples of topics include sexual confidence and empowerment, desire discrepancy, sexual pain, exploring kink and BDSM, erectile stress, and improving sexual communication.

Couple & Relationship Therapy

Whether you’re working to strengthen your bond, repair trust, or navigate new relational terrain, therapy offers a space to deepen understanding and connection. I work with couples and partners of all kinds—monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous, open, or still exploring what feels right for you. I specialize in helping people thoughtfully navigate opening up their relationships. I use a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Method couple therapy.

Teens and Young Adults

Working with teens and young adults means meeting you at a time when everything feels like it’s shifting—identity, relationships, expectations. Whether you’re applying to college, starting your first job, or learning how to live on your own, therapy offers space to make sense of it all and feel more grounded as you figure out what’s next.

Gender Identity

As a gender health specialist, I offer support to individuals, most often trans and/or nonbinary folks, on their gender journey (and we all have a gender journey!). This can look like exploring identity and experience, navigating life changes, and supporting relationships with loved ones. I have extensive experience working with families and partners during and after the coming out process.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • Both! I see folks in person at my office in the beautiful Rose Garden neighborhood of Oakland and virtually all over California via HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

  • Each individual 50 minute session is $225. Each 50 minute couples/relationship session is $260 and each 75 minute couple session is $390.

  • As an out of network provider, I don’t work directly with insurance panels. Many insurance agencies offer reimbursement for out of network services. If this is the case for you, I am happy to provide a monthly statement (superbill) for your insurance. If you aren’t sure whether your insurance works with out of network providers, feel free to shoot me a message and I can support you in figuring that out.

  • Definitely! I work with folks of all identities and orientations. If you’re curious about whether we might be a good fit to work together, feel free to reach out.

  • A consult call is a FREE 15-20 minute phone call where you can bring any questions you might have, I can learn a little bit more about you and what you’re looking for, and together we can determine whether it’s a good fit to work together. If it’s a fit, we go ahead and schedule our first session.

Having a therapist you feel comfortable with is the most important part of starting therapy. A consult call is the place to figure that out.
